It is my dream to create a place where Dhrupad can be taught to students in a suitable atmosphere in the tradition of Guru- Shishya Parampara (transmitting knowledge direct from teacher to the students by staying in vicinity/Sannidhya). This would be my contribution to let continue the flow of knowledge I could receive from my Guru, Ustad Zia Fariduddin Dagar, to let it flow through me to the future generation of musicians.

According to the precise instructions of my Ustad, the Dhrupad music should be taught practically to smaller groups of students that will have to dedicate their full time for the Sadhana of absorbing the musical knowledge from their Guru/ Teacher. There should not be any written examinations, only the practical Riyaz and the traditional exercises to train the voice. 

As the students should not have to worry about anything while concentrating on their education, there should be a place created for them where they can stay and learn with their Guru. Ideally this should be some kind of Ashram arrangement, with residential complex, rooms for practice, instruments provided (like Tampuras, Pakhavaj), and suitable canteen facilities for healthy and nourishing food. The financing for such kind of arrangements can not be done by the students, if they are ready to give their full time for the study of Dhrupad music. So there need to be thought of some systems and source of sponsorship for such a kind of project.
